Cara Hair, senior vice president of corporate services, chief legal and compliance officer, and Debra Stockton, vice president of general counsel Western Hemisphere and human resources, have been named winners of the Mentor & Mentee Collaboration Award at Corporate Counsel’s 2025 Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards.

The award was presented Oct. 7 at the Women, Influence & Power in Law Conference awards dinner in Washington, D.C.

About the award

The Mentor & Mentee Collaboration Award celebrates the dynamic and impactful relationship between mentors and mentees, recognizing duos whose collaboration exemplifies the power of guidance, support and professional growth.

The award honors partnerships that go beyond basic mentorship — those that foster moral guidance, social connection and intellectual development. Whether through career advice, skill-building or personal encouragement, the award celebrates mentorship that makes a lasting impact on both individuals and the broader legal community.

Recognition of excellence

Hair and Stockton’s winning nomination highlighted the exceptional nature of their mentor-mentee relationship and its meaningful impact. Their partnership demonstrates how effective mentorship can help navigate challenges, achieve success and drive both professional and personal development.

The Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards honor in-house and law firm women leaders and allies who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing the empowerment of women in law.

Their partnership serves as an inspiring example H&P’s core value of Teamwork.
