Safety By Design

The inception of the FlexRig fleet design was guided by a proactive HSE framework from its earliest stages. Supported by a contemporary approach in our company safety philosophy, it enables intentional and strategic ways to efficiently reduce exposure to serious injuries and fatalities (SIFs).

Mast is proprietary design, offering strength of 500,000-1,000,000 lbs, with mechanical and electronic crown-out prevention

Proprietary hemispherical mud tanks facilitate efficient mud cleaning (saving time) & help eliminate the need to enter a confined space

Climate controlled Driller’s Cabin removes driller from the elements, creates enhanced visibility with cameras, and provides back door egress with stairs, away from the rotary table.

Exposures are reduced by not having to mobilize or rig up/down top drive separately

Top drive is fully integrated into the mast design, and traveling block remains in the mast for transport, facilitating efficient rig moves

H&P’s Pipe Delivery System helps prevent injuries utilizing bump gate and trough pipe retention system and eliminates the need for a laydown machine.

Company wide DROPS program to share lessons learned and reduce dropped objects

Standardized pressure control systems:

  • 5,000 PSI Annular and 10K psi Ram Preventors plus 10K choke manifold with tertiary redundancy available. Additional sizes and capacities also available
  • BOP transport skid to eliminate unnecessary lifts and personnel exposures.
  • BOP handler and available BOP stump for offline testing
