Employees around the world stepped away from their desks and offices to give back, marking the company’s first-ever Global Day of Caring. The event brought together seven H&P locations, including Tulsa, Aberdeen, Oklahoma City, Midland, Covington, Denver, and Goa each partnering with local organizations to make a tangible difference in their communities. 

In Tulsa, employees volunteered with two community partners: Palmer Addiction Recovery Services, supporting individuals on the path to recovery, and Tulsa Botanic Garden, helping maintain one of the region’s most beloved green spaces. The morning began with breakfast at the headquarters followed by remarks made by Trey Adams, Cara Hair, and Daniel Bowers. In Aberdeen, employees supported three volunteer activities with social care partner, VSA. The organization offers care, support and vital services to vulnerable people of all ages living in the North-east of Scotland, U.K. 

Throughout the week volunteers joined senior residents for an afternoon of games, conversation, and connection. The action then moved to a community residential campus where employees helped bring new life to a woodland space enjoyed by children, young people, families, and the wider community. Teams then returned for a final session of planting, landscaping, and finishing touches. 

In Goa, employees supported the St. Anthony Home through donations, providing sports kits to 30 aspiring football players at the South Goa United Academy. 

 “We know that to chase big dreams, young players need the right tools and a lot of encouragement. That is why H&P decided to step in and help,” said Santan Dias, director India operations.    

In West Texas, employees volunteered with the West Texas Food Bank helping support the mission to improve the quantity, variety, and nutritional value of the food, ensuring that their communities have access to the resources they need to thrive. 

“This was an eye-opening experience that none of us knew was so easy to get involved with locally. Very proud of the team that showed up and showed out today for a good cause. We were able to prep 960 meals for kids in 2 hours,” said Phil Mammarella, senior manager field services, Odessa operations.  

Five of our Denver employees volunteered at Growing Gardens in Boulder County. Growing Gardens empowers people of all ages, income levels, and abilities by reconnecting them with their local food systems and teaching gardening, cooking, and nutrition education.  

In Oklahoma City, employees volunteered with the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma packing 2,184 backpacks. The Regional Food Bank if Oklahoma not only distributes food, it is a leader in educating the public on hunger, advocating for those living with hunger and providing access to additional resources. 

In Covington, employees volunteered with the North Shore Food Bank. They provide food assistance to more than 300 individuals and families each week who live at or below the 200% federal poverty guidelines and have found themselves in need within our community. 

The inaugural Global Day of Caring reflects H&P’s broader push toward global giving and community engagement, and organizers hope to make it an annual tradition as the program expands into new markets.
