Job Title:   Project Engineer (Structural)
Department:   Engineering   
Supervisor:  Sustaining Engineering Supervisor
Job Summary:    Responsibilities will include package weight control and analysis documentation, cost estimating, coordinating design efforts with other H&P Engineering disciplines, as well as interfacing with fabricators and H&P Field Operations. As a member of the Sustaining Engineering group, candidate will work in support of field operations on existing designs and upgrades as well as troubleshooting efforts.  In addition to support functions, candidate will work on concept development, stress analysis and with drafting designers to drawing completion of various land and offshore drilling rig components.

Qualifications:

• Minimum BS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university
• 5 – 7 years of basic structural design experience, computer modeling is a plus
• Familiar with the AISC design manual, preferably ASD methodology
• Knowledgeable on general steel fabrication practices
• Working towards obtaining PE
• Proficient with AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel & Word software, Autodesk Inventor is a plus
• Excellent organizational skills
